Pair of Carved Console Brackets Shaped as Putti 18th century carved wood cherubs with shells %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
A fabulous pair of 18th century gilt wood console brackets, these are shaped as winged putti or cherubs with shells on their heads to form the display surfaces. They almost certainly originate from Venice.

- Green painted surfaces on top of the shells to give a simulated marble effect.
- Metal brackets attached to the top to allow them to be fixed to a wall.
- Original 'Mecca' finish to the carved wood.

In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There has been some restoration to breakages of the wings and arms, making them complete and ready for display.
