Pair of Mid 20th century African Benin tribal bronze statues, c 1950. Depicting seated King and Queen figures on their thrones they are heavy (3.4 kg combined weight) and cast well in the traditional lost wax method. They have the usual casting holes etc but overall condition is good with only minor wear and rubbing. Both have aged well with good colour/patina.
