Music Conductors Baton Inscribed And Dated 1897
Antique late 19th century conductors baton, dated 1897. Nicely turned I think in mahogany it has a silver ,or silver coloured metal plaque (I cannot see a hallmark but the inscription fills the plaque). The inscription reads: " Presented to Mr E Casling by the teachers and scholars of the Horfield Methodist Free Church Sunday School as a token of esteem and gratitude for service rendered in training the children in singing their anniversary hymn for 19 successive years 1897". The wood has taken on a great colour/patina from years of handling. Overall condition is good with only minor surface wear in line with age and use. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact me with any questions or if you would like to view the item.
Size: 46cm long x 3cm wide. I will happily ship worldwide.
