Impressively large late 19th.c. oval gilt mirror c.1890. Original 49″ x 38″ mirror plate within a broad gilded wooden frame. With a fabulous gesso decoration moulded as a knotted rope with tassel ends to top and bottom and continued around the frame, plus a second smaller rope detail to the edge. Some obvious damage to the frame and minor tarnish to the mirror but generally very good condition with original gilding and back panel.
