This is an outstanding very large fine quality Florentine mirror which dates from the mid 19th century. The very deep and ornately carved frame is in of the utmost quality with beautiful original water gilding in excellent condition. The mirror has its original bevelled mercury plate, also in good clean condition with only one or two age related marks. It also has its original pine back boards. The mirror has its original gilded ornate crest which can be attached so the mirror can be hung either portrait or landscape fashion. This piece is very substantial measuring 120 cms by 100 cms, the crest adding a further 16cms.
