Large C18th Georgian Gilt-Framed Wall Mirror

This superb antique wall mirror dates from the mid-eighteenth century. It has an ornate wood and gesso frame with classical design. It retains what we believe to be its original mirrored glass. It has a lovely shape.
Condition: Overall this lovely mirror is in good usuable condition but does have some wear and damage consistent with age and use. The frame has some chipping, loss and cracking, and shows signs of restoration and repair. It has been touched up in places, and the gilt paint is now dulled and grubby. The mirror has some corrosion, black spotting and surface scratching as might be expected. The backing boards show signs of old woodworm - this is not active but has been retreated as a precaution.
