A very fine antique giltwood overmantel mirror dating from 1840.
Retaining its original water-gilding in wonderful overall condition.
Original mercury silvered mirror plate with foxing and a lovely grey tone to the reflection. Original backing board.
Stunning central cartouche cresting, very deeply carved, top quality.
Sizes 143 cm max width at base, 127 cm tall, main frame width 135.5 cm.
