Large Antique Gilt Overmantle Wall Mirror c1870
A fine antique giltwood overmantel mirror dating from 1870.
Frame retaining it's original gold leaf water-gilding which is in very good overall condition.
Very well executed cornucopia carvings at the base of the frame.
Original mercury silvered mirror plate which has the most attractive overall sparkle to the silvering and a slightly grey hue to the reflection, again very attractive.
Original backing board and hanging plates.
Sizes. 142.5 cm high, 151 cm max width at base, widest point of main frame 121 cm.
