An impressive large 19th Century Flame Mahogany and Brass Bound Campaign Writing Slope which opens to reveal the original Maroon Gilt and Blind Tooled Skiver and also it's original Pair of Brass Topped and Glass Lockable Inkwells. There are three secret Drawers and one long Drawer in the base which is 'locked' with a Brass Pin. It has a pair of traditional Brass Military Carrying Handles. Inside there are two 'Seals' and a small Rosewood Seals Box.The Base Baize has been replaced.It has a Bramah Lock but no Key.Original finish, just rewaxed.Dimensions are:-22" x 11" x 8".C.1850-60 I am listed as a Private Dealer but some of my Stock can be viewed at The Antique Shop, 53, High Street Heathfield E.Sussex.If you wish, I am am able meet you there to discuss any items and also bring along any items which are not on Antiques Atlas but not displayed in the Shop.
