Georgian Oak Mahogany Corner Hanging Cupboard
This is a very opulent hanging corner cabinet. It is late Georgian / William IV dating to around 1830. It is particularly opulent. The cabinet is made in very lively solid wainscott oak with wonderful flame mahogany panels ant these panels are edged with boxwood and ebony inlay. The cabinet has split turned bobbin detailing beneath the cornice and at the base is a central drawer with faux drawers either side. The cabinet retains its decorative gilt metal escutcheon, lock and key. Inside the cabinet is shelved. There is a lot of quality in this large cabinet.
The cabinet is in good period condition. Marks as you would expect in a period piece.
This cupboard could be used as a drinks cabinet. It will look wonderfully opulent in a principal room furnished in antiques.
The corner cupboard is 49 inches high and 16.5 inches deep and 38 inches wide and the sides run along the wall from the corner point for 24 inches on both sides.
