An extremely rare Georgian Faux Tortoiseshell snuff box mounted with gold (although typically not hallmarked), dating from around 1810. The box is of rectangular shape with curved edges in a woven basket weave design, decorated with small gold studs. There is a plain gold plaque centred on the top of the hinged lid.

This snuff box is offered in original antique condition. An exceptionally fine and rare example for the discerning collector.
