Four Large Gothic Oak Picture Frames c.1870 %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Run of four very impressive 19th.c. gothic oak picture frames c.1870. 34″ x 45″ apertures to each frame. Solid oak frames with ogee pointed arch tops with blind tracery detail. Flanked on each side with tall finials over half colums with carved capitals and moulded bases. Pierces gothic arch tracery along the lower edge. Each frame is numbered with carved and gilded Roman numerals (II, V, VI & XII) within a quatrefoil cartouche above the aperture. Presented as found, left dry and unwaxed with some missing column sections, mouldings and tracery.
