This is a delightful early 19th century sampler by Isabella Anderson aged 13, dated 1859. This is a really nice example in its original solid oak frame. The needlepoint is in excellent order with central urn issuing flowers beneath alphabet.
The sampler measures 42 cms by 38 cms overall, including the frame.
