Collection of Antique Whyte Melville Hunting Books.
A fabulous long run of 19th century red leather bound antique books, a series written by Whyte Melville.
This run is unsual in that there are twenty seven volumes in this set, usually there are only twenty four.
Each book is in amazingly original condition, they are all leather bound in a bright red leather, none have faded.
On the spines are decorative gilt tooled riding related motifs such as a jockeys hat and crop, fox heads and a hunting horn.
A nice additional touch is the marbled counter face and page edges.
A lovely set of antique books, in excellent condition, wriitten by the Scottish novelist George Whyte Melville. lovely gift idea.
