Charming 17th Century Oak Two Part Cupboard
-Welcome to Mersham Manor Antiques-
A wonderful late 17th century oak, pegged construction hanging cupboard.
Having two panelled doors of different sizes, which open to reveal the original and very charming wooden hanging pegs. These are to the front and back. There has been in more recent times a brass hanging rail added.
The cupboard comes in two parts, making it easier to maneuver.
The character to this charming cupboard is wonderful, having a lovely rich colour and patina.
The original hinges to the doors are particularly lovely.
The back in my opinion is even more wonderful than the front, the original timbers are wonderfully thick and rustic.
There are two very old labels attached to the two parts of the cupboard. These read-
Oliver Baker.

There is then a delivery address to a- Mr Barton Esq, of 53 West Cromwell Road, London.
There is an Oliver Baker 1856-1939 recorded as an artist, author and antique dealer in Bearly, Stratford-Upon-Avon.
The overall condition is excellent antique condition. With expected general signs of age and use.
Very solid sturdy and strong.
Having developed a wonderful rich colour and glowing patina.
