Art Deco 12ct Gold Front & Back Cuff Links c.1930s

This is an elegant pair of Art Deco 12ct Gold Front & Back Cuff Links from the 1920s/30s. The cuff links are oval and chain linked with an engine turned pattern on the upper sides. They come supplied in a modern gift box.
12ct Gold Front & Back is a technique that bonds a layer of 12ct gold to the top and bottom of a layer of silver to form a sandwich. This results in a much thicker layer of gold than you could ever get from gold plating, at least ten times thicker, often more. It gives you a stronger pair of cuff links at a more reasonable price that still look exactly like gold cuff links. The technique was particularly popular in the interwar years.
Condition is very good with just the superficial surface wear that you would expect in exposed items over a long period of time. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The oval cuff links are each 1.8cm by 1.3cm with a 2cm chain link. The pair together weigh in at 6.9g.
The back of each cuff link is stamped 12ct Gold Front and Back.
Shipping in the UK is £6 by Royal Mail Tracked 24.
