Rare pair of 18th century Box stands carved as stylised Lions.Wonderful colour & patination.
These were used to keep Boxes or Trunks off the damp floors & would have only been available to the very wealthy.
As can be seen from one photograph a small section of carving is missing from one lion.This has been absent for a long time.
