Antique French Painted Mirror
This is a very good quality large French mirror with an attractive sage green finish dating from the late 19th century, circa 1890. The paint effect has an almost marbled appearance and is nicely rubbed back on the areas of carved detail showing the richly coloured solid oak beneath. This has its original 3/8” mercury plate glass in really good, clean condition overall. The thick mirror glass and the solid oak frame make this a really heavy piece indicative of its quality. The mirror measures 130 cms by 94 cms and could be hung either way up.
