This is an antique set of 13 Charles Dickens novels. An English language, comprehensive library of fiction books, dating to the Victorian period, published 1866 to 1868.
Synonymous with the social fabric of Victorian England, Charles John Huffam Dickens (1812 - 1870) was a prolific novelist and social critic. Lauded in his lifetime, the 20th century viewed his works as literary genius. Of great popularity to this day, his influence included the merchandising of the Pickwick milieu in the William IV period and campaigning for children's rights during the reign of Queen Victoria - often a theme within his writing.
