A Regency rosewood sewing box. On gilt lacquered brass feet and with boxwood stringing and brass carrying handles. The top with pen-work and central painted transfer scene. The box also contains a selection of contemporary sewing accoutrements. In good and original condition. 120mm high, 240mm wide and 180mm deep. Circa 1825. W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries.
