A lovely quality Victorian period walnut antique jewellery box, the exterior has all its original colour and polished surface. The top, which has a working key, opens to reveal a well fitted interior with nine glass bottles, eight of these have silver plated lids. The fitted front tray lifts out to reveal a storage space below. The lid contains a fitted mirror which can be released to reveal a secret letter folder and then reversed to reveal a blue quilted covering, The box contains a drawer in the base which is released from inside the box. Sizes: 12”(30cms) wide, 9”(23cms) deep, 7”(17cms) high. Date circa 1860. I have reluctantly decided that after 60 years spent in this marvellous business it is, figuratively speaking, time to hang up my cheque book. I have therefore made considerable reductions to the prices of most of my stock. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if any items are of interest. Deliveries carried at as normal.
