A superb solid gold locket crafted by Sheldon Brothers. This enchanting locket was assayed (tested for gold purity) at Birmingham Assay Office in 1906. This keepsake pendant is suspended from a beautiful 18 inch 9 carat gold belcher chain necklace.

The locket is embellished with the most ornate engravings and superbly well made.

Ivy and acanthus leaves and forget-me-not flowers grace the outer case.

Ivy represents the bonds of love, eternal fidelity and wedded bliss.

Acanthus leaves symbolise everlasting life.

The depiction of forget-me-nots flowers conveys deep love and respect.

The original backings, linings, clear portrait protectors and frames are present.

The hinge and catch work perfectly.

Super condition!

This locket is ideal to hold photographs, miniature paintings or locks of hair.
