19th Century Hand Carved Giltwood Plaque The Green Man
This is a most decorative 19th century carving in solid giltwood of the legendary Green Man mask. The carving is expertly crafted and most characterful with a beautiful hand gilded original finish in gold leaf.
The plaque is an imposing and rare item, beautifully mounted onto a soft sage green painted shaped shield with matching gilded edge. The shield is a substantial size measuring 83 cms by 47 cms overall.
