#AD156:

This is an early handmade vintage hinged primitive pewter box which measures 3.5 x 2.5 inches. It is ovoid in design and does not lay flat on a table. It was made to be carried in a pocket and has wonderful early patina, with a very beautiful old primitive look and feel. There are no maker marks or touchmarks evident. See photos for the wonderful overall and apparent wear from continual use.

It was found in Totnes, Devon, England. Click images to see condition in close up views and click again to open full images on screen for scrolling. A graphically strong and thick vintage early 19th century box. We wish this old piece could talk!

Size: 3.5 long x 2.5 inches wide, ovoid
