Hauntingly beautiful 19th century copper Buddhist offering plate, used in a house shrine, temple or monastery during lamaistic offering rites.
The plate sits gracefully on it’s integral footed stand. It has hammered and incised decoration, and five sculptural, diamond shaped bosses on the offering surface. It has an excellent dark patina which testifies to many years of ritual use.
Sourced in the Himalayas.
