Complete in To Volumes

Two folio size volumes bound in late 19th century half leather bindings with marbled boards & endpapers. Page edges gilt, numerous full page black & white steel engravings to each volume, frontis & an extra illustrated title page to both volumes

Each book measures approx 15.5 x 11.5 inches

Some minor rubbing to leather & boards with a few minor marks to leather mostly at bottom of spines & boards, corners bumped, occasional light foxing to pages but more moderate foxing to some endpapers & the very occasional page, title page & contents pages to vol 2 with a vertical crease to middle of pages but overall a set in very good condition with none of the usual cracking to hinges & majority of pages clean

A well illustrated edition with fine engravings after numerous paintings & bound in attractive leather bindings
