Description

A late 17th century portrait of Victor Amadeus II, Duke of Savoy C1675 - 1730 , King of Sardinia C1720-1730 , and King of Sicily C1713-1720. The portrait was most likely painted around 1675 when Victor became duke of savoy at the age of 9. The portrait is very well painted and shows the young duke dressed in his armour with his finely made garments and red bow, set within a 17th century English gilt carved lely frame.

The painting has been relined a long time ago but is in good condition ,as is the frame, with some losses to the gilding.
