Description

A superb 18th century chippendale period serpentine chest of drawers. The chest is constructed from walnut, mahogany and oak, and has a beautiful serpentine front and sides, the front is flanked by decorative and finely carved floral adornments, the base has a moulded skirt with bracket feet, and the drawers with cockbeading and later brassware. The chest is completely untouched and has a few losses commensurate with age. It does require some minor restoration, but is a fantastic example of refined, simple but complex 18th century english furniture.
