Really super quality 19th Century Rosewood Table...the base in solid rosewood!Attributed to the esteemed maker Johnstone and Jeanes.
Original Copes Patent gilt brass and steel castors.
Fantastic original un restored condition.
English restrained elegance.
Circa 1850/70
NOTE: Johnstone and Jeanes (1842-1880) were one of the successor companies to Johnstone and Jupe. They are noted as one of the finest cabinet makers of the Victorian era and carried out commissions for the Royal family. Examples of their work remain in the Royal collection.
