Description

A lovely mid Victorian piano top burr walnut davenport of superb colour and condition. The interior has a new tooled leather writing surface and the rest of the davenport is absolutely original. When released with the secret button a magnificent fretwork interior is revealed, showing no damage to it(there would be evidence of movement at the least on many other davenports of the type). The drawers to the right hand side operates as normal whilst the drawers to the left are all dummy drawers (this setup of drawers would be true for most davenports). The burr walnut to the top surface is nicely inlaid with boxwood. The front drawer is lockable and the whole piece is in superb condition.
