Description

A very attractive burr walnut davenport from the mid Victorian period. With boxwood and ebony inlays and stringing. The fitted top compartment has seen little use and is very clean, with the added bonus of the original inkwells still evident and outer brass gallery. With four drawers to one side and four dummies to the other this is typical davenport design and one of the reasons they look so attractive. Polished all around, you can use this piece off wall the wall if desired. Recently re-polished and fitted with a new tooled leather, this wonderful ladies writing desk is in super condition and ready to use.
