Description

A mahogany extending dining table in the Chippendale style. Of modest size when closed, yet a very comfortable 6 seater when the 2 leaves are in place, even more at a pinch. Made from solid mahogany and with a carved gadroon edge to the top, which , unusually is repeated on the underside apron. The legs are typical of the Chippendale style, with acanthus carvings to the shoulder and terminating on ball and claw feet, with original castors.The condition is very good and ready to use. The two leaves add another 61cm = 24 inches to the width giving a maximum of 211cm = 83 inches.
