Description
An early 18th century oak six plank coffer. The lid has scalloped carving along the two sides and is fitted with slip pin hinges. Opening the top reveals a candle box with a lid. The front is carved with a star burst design within a diamond. It has a carved escutcheon around the replaced working lock and key.Height 20½ inches 52 cm circa 1705
