Description
A Victorian rosewood serpentine shaped stool, of large proportion. The upholstered top lifts off to reveal a shallow well with a marbled paper. The stool has a shaped and carved frame which is supported by four cabriole legs. These are carved at the knee with C-scroll and acanthus. The legs terminate in scroll feet with inset castors.Height 18½ inches 47 cm circa 1860
