Description

A diminutive Hungarian Ash and Purpleheart wood cabinet attributed to renowned makers Holland & Sons. The cabinet with a moulded top with brass gallery rail, beneath the beautiful moulded panelled doors flanked by fluted pilasters which terminate in scrolled acanthus carvings. The doors open to reveal the original mahogany shelved interior with the original lock escutcheon and key. Having an arrangement of 4 graduated drawers, these too all mahogany lined with original fittings and Purpleheart knob handles. The whole raised on moulded base with bracket feet. Superb quality, colour and condition throughout this rare and striking cabinet. English, Circa 1850.
