Description

This windswept western part of Cornwall is home to a thriving fishing industry. Every day the boats leave harbour to fire their nets or cast their pots to catch some of the best fish in the world. These boats put out in all weathers and it's a risky business. In this painting Penny captures the essence of the little boat battling its way back home laden with a good catch to take to market. There are few artists that understand the sea as well as Penny and her knowledge brings a beautiful realism to the tossing waves.
