Description
A very large cast iron Victorian fire grate attributed to A.W.N Pugin. The arched backplate with Gothic tracery rests behind the two barred grate which is supported at the front by a pair of tall standards, raised on sturdy splayed feet, each surmounted by large ornate brass finials which bear monogrammed shields set on stylised foliate roundels. English, circa 1850.Awaits final restoration.
