A cast iron fireback in the Medieval manner with hunting symbolism, with two rampant hunting hounds on either side holding a shield centred with a large cross surmounted by a knights tassled helmet. Inscribed with a latin motto " OFNE NA OFNE ANGAV " ( a rough translation is " One to one Angel " ), the border decorated with scrolled foliate designs.French , 19th century.
