A truly exemplary Welsh oak Cupboard Dresser of highly desirable and beautifully simple traditional Cardiganshire form c1800.
A breathtaking dresser of superb quality and craftsmanship with the most outstanding grain, colour and patina we have seen in years and in the most incredible original condition.
There are dressers then there are dressers and they do not come any better or indeed more beautiful than this example.
Constructed from heavy and stunningly grained locally sourced Welsh oak with pine and sycamore backboards and drawer linings. Extremely strong and sturdy with a stunning single plank oak top to the base of the most wonderful colour. In amazing condition with just a few historic worm holes to mention as is always the case with period dressers. With fantastic proportions and presence this is without doubt the nicest dresser of its type to become available on the market for a considerable time.
