Description

A very pretty and remarkably comfortable primitive Welsh farmhouse settle bench of rare and desirable form retaining an absolutely stunning original painted finish. c1790
Solid throughout and in lovely condition with perfect sear height and proportions. Colour is warm and cosy with outstanding surface and patina.
A super size for a hall or kitchen and would work well accompanying a farmhouse table.

We at Welsh Vernacular are renowned for the quality of the settles we sell, they are highly practical items and look as well in a hall or kitchen as they do in a living room or conservatory. We often sell them to people looking for attractive storage solutions as well as seating, they are great for storing away items such as wellingtons and walking boots or your firelighters and kindling for the stove, horse riding tack, painting and decorating and odd job items that may freeze or perish if left in an outbuilding.
Both practical and comfortable these antique pieces could not be more suited to modern requirements.
