Description

This is a good Gothic solid oak heavily carved fireplace overmantel. It is wonderful quality. I would imagine that it was made in the last 50 years. Look at the carving of the rams heads on the top of each turned pillar. Look at the depth to the arches. Look at the floriate carving in the Jacobian manner. The overmantel has a dentil cornice above and a shaped plinth base. The oak is rich and polished.

The overmantel is in very good condition. One 'block' missing from the dentil cornice - see photo. No damage. No worm.

If you have a gothic setting and an oak fireplace surround then this overmantel will sit on your mantlepiece and look stunning. The overmantel has brass brackets to afix to your wall once sitting on top of the mantelpiece.

The overmantel is 70 inches wide and 33 inches high and 12.25 inches high.
