A stunning Arts and Crafts fireplace with matching overmantle mirror, designed by E.A. Taylor for Wylie and Lochhead, c 1900s. An Arts and Crafts classic with beautifully carved detail of the Tree of Life. Fire surround with detailed Tree of Life carvings to the centre and each side. Over mantle mirror with original bevelled glass and a Tree of Life carvings to each side. Wylie and Lochhead design number and makers mark to the back. A very rare find and in excellent condition.Dimensions: Fire Surround: H156cm, W170cm (top), W152cm (body), D32cm (top), D20cm (Body). Internal measurement - fire opening: H104cm, W107cm.
