Description

A Gouda jardinere in "Lydia" pattern, c1950s. It was produced by the Regina factory (1898-1979) in Gouda, Netherlands. The decoration is in matt glaze, makers marks to the base. The vase has wonderful colour and is in excellent condition with no sign of damage or restoration.

The images show the vase being revolved through 120 degrees in three stages.

Dimensions: H17cm Diameter 20cm

Makers marks: Regina is the factory name, WB with a crown crest is the factory mark (initials are for the factory owners: W for Van der Want, B for Barras), Lydia is the pattern name, 901 is the mould number, G is the decorators mark. The Lydia design is one from the 1920's, but the late mould number (in the 900s) indicates that this vase is probably made in the 1950s.
