An unusual, original Globe Wernicke bureau bookcase, c1932. A brass plaque shows that it was a commissioned as a gift for somebody in 1932. Made of oak, fall front full width desk top, fitted interior with drawers and shelves, brass plaque to the door, lift front shelf with original glass, cupboard with double drawers to the base, original handles and knobs. In excellent original condition with makers label. This is a beautiful piece of furniture that has been very well looked after.

The brass plaque inscription "Presented to Mr & Mrs Bloom as a token of love and esteem by friends at Lea Road Congregational Church, March 16th 1932".
