this is an absolutely stunning and very unique armchair , originating from the Art Nouveau period of design

Its seat and back is padded and upholstered in brown leather

This has been embossed into a beautiful iconic Art Nouveau arts and Crafts design reminiscent of William Morris

The leather has then been hand dyed

The stretchers arms and legs are barley twist

the end of the arms culminate in a carved lions head

The chair is in good order , the leather cracking but evenly and with the expected character in a chair this age

The chair dates circa 1880

A beautiful and unique chair to compliment any room
