Description

A silver and enamel casket weighing 89 oz made for Walter Powell when he was granted the Freedom of Chelmsford in 1932.
The casket was designed by Mr C H Baskett, artist and Principal of the Chelmsford School of Art and made by Miss Ann Broxup, her sister Constance and Miss Enid Turner under the supervision of Miss Campbell the silversmithing teacher.
In good used condition measuring 33.5 cm x 13 x 15.
