Description

A fine English George III mahogany tea caddy in good original condition and lovely dark colour, circa 1760. Having a pagoda shaped top and fitted with its original Rococo-style brass handle and escutcheon, it opens to reveal a compartmented interior. It is raised on bracket feet. It is the rounded brass edging to the corners that really lifts this caddy above most others of a similar age and shape.
