A finely worked ink drawing with a watercolour wash on paper of 'Blois' in the Loire Valley, France signed by Sydney Maiden and dated 1947. The pencil inscription in the artist's hand ' beneath the image 'The Market place - Blois - showing bomb damaged area as in 1947 before rebuilding', would suggest that this scene is of historical interest.
