Pair of Chinese Cloisonné Dragon Vases C.1900

Description
A fine pair of Late Qing Dynasty Chinese cloisonné vases each depicting two horned dragons with yellow bodies and red crests chasing a flaming pearl against a black background representing the sky. Near the base a band of green and black semi-circular overlapping shapes symbolises land while the necks are decorated with leaf fronds and flowers. The quality of the wire work is extremely good.Dimensions: Height 23 cm x Diameter (max) 11 cm
Diameter of top 6 cm
Weight: 533 and 519g for a total weight of 1.052 kg
Condition: They are in near perfect condition with just one small bruise on the shoulder of one of the vases and with a slight loss of enamel. Please contact David if you would like to view more photographs.
