Vintage Hand-knotted Ziegler Rug 0.65 x 1.74m
Description
This is a small vintage Ziegler runner, hand-knotted from 100% wool, in excellent condition and washed ready for your home.As is characteristic of these rugs it has an open field, bearing no central medallion but, instead, floral motifs sparsely arranged inside a wide more profusely decorated border. The colour palette, consisting of natural vegetable dyes and combining cream, red and green, is softer and more subtle than that of Persian carpets. There is noticeable variation in the cream background sometimes appearing more beige than cream, probably indicating that this is the natural colour of the undyed wool.
We have photographed the rug from both ends as it is noticeably lighter from one direction than the other.
Dimensions: 0.65 x 1.74 m
Condition: Excellent with good pile and very little evidence of any wear. The rug has been washed so is ready to lay in your home.
Delivery: This rug can be posted for £12 to anywhere within the UK.
